War has escalated in the world. And America is leading the charge. Money to save American lives on American soil is being spent to destroy the lives of others in other parts of the world. Our country is not (and has not been for a long time) standing in honor.
I am not a preacher standing at the pulpit telling you what to believe. I am telling you what I believe.
The dignity of the human race resides in its ability for compassion. At the moment, animals surpass us on that count.
What I believe: Peace is the only sustainable way of life. Human rights is the only way to peace. A challenged population must be educated to see the dignity and compassion of human rights.
Thus, war will not halt terrorists (real or alleged or imagined); killing is not a solution. It does not bring peace. Education, discussion, talking is the solution. Dignity and compassion as a way to human rights is the way to peace.
Yet, as long as people in government profit from war (weapons, equipment, vehicles, drugs, etc), nobody cares to talk.
War does not happen between people, person to person. War happens between abstracts, between groups of anonymous people. The man on the street does not want to go to war. He wants a peaceful life.
Make an effort to incorporate a conversation on peace into your daily routine. Let your identity be identified with peace. And send that message into the world.
Thank you for your love and support.
